This socket features a patented 1/4” Female Square Drive with left-hand tapered internal threads, making it ideal for removing collars from 1/4” diameter threaded pins.
Constructed from durable 17-4 tool steel, the Omega Technologies OMSK3581-1/4 Collar Removal Socket For Hi-Lok And Hi-Lite, -8 Dash Size is heat-treated to ensure maximum wear resistance. The OMSK3581 series incorporates a tapered bore with innovative ”dual lead” left-hand threads that securely grip collars for easy removal by rotating counter-clockwise.
Collars can then be effortlessly removed from the socket by rotating clockwise with pliers or other tools.
