Its D-handle design is ideal for overhead, downward, or hard-to-reach horizontal drilling/chipping applications.

The Makita-built brushless motor delivers a full 2.7 ft. lbs. of impact energy, with 0-980 RPM and 0-5,000 BPM. The Makita GRH07Z 40V max XGT® Brushless Cordless 1-1/8” SDS-PLUS AVT® Rotary Hammer (D-Handle), AFT®, AWS® Capable features constant speed control that automatically applies additional power under load, ensuring outstanding performance.

Equipped with Active Feedback-Sensing Technology (AFT®), the rotary hammer automatically turns off the motor if the bit’s rotation is suddenly forced to stop. The Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT®) actively reduces vibration, providing comfort during use. For added durability, Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) is integrated for improved dust and water resistance in harsh job site conditions.

The rotary hammer offers dust extraction capability with an optional OSHA Table 1 compliant on-board HEPA dust extractor (model DX15, sold separately). You can also use a standalone dust extractor with the Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS®).
