Omega Technologies CRP100 Collar Removal Pliers are designed with a diamond shaped jaw that allows the pliers to grip from any direction and may be used to remove collars in open access applications. Omega Technologies CRP100 Collar Removal Pliers are best used with smaller aluminum collars (-5, -6, -8). Omega Technologies offers 2 styled of pliers that are both best suited to small collars. From our experience, Omega Technologies Collar Removal Pliers do not work as well with large collars, or steel/titanium collars where greater gripping force is required to achieve the required break away torque. We recommend Savi Socket® style sockets fitted to a standard hand ratchet for more difficult collars, and will usually offer far superior results.
